In a small country like Malta, land is a scarce resource with a high price. There are various ways land can be used. These include various forms of development (residential, commercial, industrial, speculative, etc.). The land can also remain in its natural state, used for agricultural purposes, or used as an open space.

70 to 80% of citizens in the European Union countries don't want GMOs, but
only 22% of Members of the European Parliament. SO WHO DO 78% OF MEPs
REPRESENT? Why do they ignore our letters and fail to endorse the wishes of
the people? Are most European Parliamentarians in the pocket of the
dominant agribusiness corporations?
